February 11, 2018

Can we all just agree that Clarksville has some pretty awesome parks and playgrounds. As the weather begins to get warmer and the days begin to get longer, here are some

of our favorite local playgrounds to spend a day of family fun

1.) Coy Lacy Park

Nestled in a quite subdivision off of Madison St, this playground is absolutely perfect for small kids. The playground itself is not huge and overwhelming, but still offers a good variety of activities such as swings, slides and even an adorable animal inspired merry go round. In addition there is a paved walking path that circles the park and a nice sized open field for practicing baseball, soccer, or even just rolling around in the grass for a bit!

2.) Heritage Park

Located off of 101st and Peachers Mill this park is ideal for the sports enthusiasts in your family. Heritage Park consists of eight soccer fields, four baseball fields and two basketball courts. It also features two incredibly unique playgrounds, a skate park and an all-inclusive splash pad to cool off on those hot summer days. Wanna include your furry friends in the fun too? This park also offer a shaded dog park so everyone in the family can share lots of laughs.

If you or your family get excited about nature, this is the ideal place to spend an afternoon finding new adventures! If you are feeling extra adventurous, try wading through the creek where you are sure to find plenty of tadpoles and maybe even a couple of snakes! Also don't forget to pack a picnic lunch because there are plenty of picnic tables and pavilions available all throughout the park.
