CLARKSVILLE, TN – The first week in February marks the coming of the annual Harry Potter Book Night, when fans of all ages are invited to celebrate the novels – and in 2022 they are celebrating the 25th anniversary of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.”
This year, Harry Potter Book Night includes a whole week of magical events both at the library and from home. Starting Jan. 31 and going through Feb. 5, wizards, witches and Muggles alike are invited to take part in enchanting games, magical crafts, DIY projects, and an array of other activities.
Join the library on Facebook Live Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. for “Potions Class” with Mr. Richie Superscience, followed by “Hogwarts Orientation: An Evening of Wizardry,” a live show by local magician Russ Nowack at 7 p.m. Starting Monday, Jan. 31, pick up free Harry Potter-themed craft grab bags available all week long while supplies last. In keeping with tradition, they will also be offering House points and prizes. House points and prize entries are earned in several ways, such as stopping at the circulation desk to pick up a house button or sticker or completing a Golden Snitch Scavenger Hunt. Harry Potter fans of all ages are invited to join a Zoom trivia game on Jan. 31 at 6 p.m. and Zoom Pictionary Feb. 2 at 6 p.m.
